Trigger mode designed to test and simulate the Quick Charge and Power Delivery (PD) protocol on USB Type-C ports. This device provides a convenient solution for testing and analyzing fast charging functionality and charging protocol detection on devices with a USB Type-C port. It supports up to 100W and the voltage is supplied on the screw connector.

The integrated button changes the protocol and the voltage requested by the module. The module will only output voltages and power supported by the used source.

It has integrated LEDs that indicate the output voltage. When selecting the voltage, if the LED is fixed on the voltage set in the button, this voltage is found on the output. If the LED flashes on the set voltage, it means that the charger does not support the respective voltage.

It has a memory, that is, once set, when recharging, the module will maintain the last set voltage.

The Trigger Board is compatible with QC 2.0, QC 3.0, PD 2.0 and PD 3.0 protocols, allowing the testing and simulation of various fast charging modes for devices with a USB Type-C port.

Use:

On the back of the module there are a series of contacts that can be shorted to set the function.

PD ONLY: After short-circuiting, it will only work in PD mode.

DM and DP: They are Data- and Data+. We do not recommend short-circuiting these contacts unless you know what you are doing.

5V/9V/12V/20V: Fixed voltage selectors (only if the charger is compatible).

S1: The button acts as an ON/OFF switch.

F1: The lowest available voltage is activated.

F2: The highest available voltage is activated.

F1+F2: The module cycles the available tennis positions as long as the contacts F1 and F2 are shorted.

Setting the polling time or the voltage jump time when F1 and F2 are short-circuited: press and hold the button without turning on the power, then the first LED will flash. If you release the button, it will be unlocked. Otherwise, keep pressing and holding until all LEDs flash, then release the button to enter the time setting, and the switching time is reset to 0.5 seconds. At this moment, 0.5 seconds will be added for each button press, and the LED will display the corresponding time in binary mode (you can count how many times you have added the time if you are not familiar with binary), up to 30 times (the maximum corresponding time is 15.5 seconds, and the LEDs are all lit).

If the button is not pressed within 3 seconds, the time setting will appear automatically and the set value will be saved, and the LEDs will flash intensely to warn.
