Microphone module with electret and amplifier, compatible with Arduino and other development boards. The board comes with a 20-20KHz electret microphone and an amplifier circuit that uses the integrated MAX4466 as an amplifier (op-amp) that has an excellent rejection of the noise caused by the power supply. The gain can be adjusted between 25X and 125X from the integrated potentiometer on the back of the module, from 200mVpp to 1Vpp with peaks up to 5Vpp for loud sounds. The stroke of the potentiometer is limited! Do not drive over the limit!

This module is best used with FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) type libraries that take the input signal and transform it into frequencies. Examples of interesting projects with this module are voice changes and audio-reactive projects. For best performance use the quietest power supply such as the 3.3V pin from an Arduino UNO.

The analog audio signal will be output on the OUT pin. This signal can be heard on some small headphones and, with the help of an amplifier, it can be played directly in the speakers. If you connect the OUT pin directly to the analog input of a development board, no other components are needed, it is connected directly to the ADC pin.
